Outside Sales

Job description: Sales representatives are given the greatest responsibility of representing our company and our brand. They are responsible for professionally educating potential clients about the benefits of our services and then scheduling an appointment for an Energy Consultant to come back and provide a more detailed Building Energy Assessment. All marketing material and pricing will be provided.

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform thermal infrared camera inspections
  • Educate potential clients about benefits and utility incentives
  • Measure insulation levels and provide estimates

Qualifications:

  • Provide excellent customer service to potential customers
  • No prior experience needed. We provide all training necessary
  • Comfortable talking with people face to face
  • Pass Drug/Background Check

Pay Structure:

Energy Auditor

Locations – Wisconsin, Illinois 
Full-time, Part-time
 
Job  Description: Our Energy Auditors use state of the art testing equipment to diagnose buildings for energy leaks that cause comfort issues and cost our clients money. They look at the building as system and provide solutions for our customers. Paid training available for the right candidate.
 
Responsibilities:  
  • Complete home energy assessments per BPI protocol
  • Perform thermal camera inspections for missing insulation
  • Diagnose and solve comfort issues with advanced equipment
  • Energy model projects utilizing program specific software
  • Create detailed scope of work to address comfort issues

Qualifications: 

  • BPI Credentials preferred. Training available for right candidate
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Construction background preferred
  • Comfortable talking with people face to face

  • Based on experience

Crew Leader/Foreman

Locations – Wisconsin, Illinois 
Full-time, Part-time

Job Description: Comfort 1st is looking for Crew Leaders who want to get out of field work and into field management. We are currently hiring experienced Crew Leads to over-see a team of 2-4 hardworking crew members. With great leadership skills, you will have the opportunity to advance further into a role of Field Manager within 6 months. Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for all work quality, paperwork, customer service, crew management
  • Make sure a home is insulated according to the specified work order, including installing fiberglass batting, weather stripping, door kits, ventilation, blown-in cellulose, thermal polyiso board, air sealing with spray foam, and more.
  • Create a relationship with the home owner to better understand their needs and concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a background check
  • Must have prior trade(s) experience
  • Must be able to work in confined, on ladders, and on roof tops.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects
  • Experience with managing insulation crews is highly preferred

Pay Structure:

  • Based on experience:  $18+ per hour
  • Compensation is hourly plus bonuses

Insulation Technician – Crew Member

Locations – Wisconsin, Illinois 
Full-time, Part-time

Job Description:  This is a rewarding opportunity to help homeowners increase their comfort and lower their utility bills. As an Insulation Technician, you will perform air sealing and insulation jobs at homes and businesses. We are looking for reliable people who take pride in doing high quality work. For qualified candidates, we provide year-round work and the chance to step forward on a career path that can rapidly lead to greater responsibility and pay. Comfort 1st provides training and ongoing coaching for this position to help you succeed and grow in the role.

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform air sealing and insulation work as directed in attics, basements, and interior and exterior walls; this can include standing on ladders, prying away siding, drilling holes, crawling and kneeling in tight spaces
  • Thoroughly clean the job site and re-load the truck at the end of the day
  • Take proper care of all equipment, tools and inventory used to complete jobs
  • Serve as a positive contributing member of the team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Residential construction or carpentry experience preferred
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools and equipment
  • Comfort with working in tight spaces or on ladders, as well as in working in adverse weather conditions
  • Must be available to work five days each week, with occasional weekend availability
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen upon hire
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to speak, read, and write languages other than English is a plus

Pay Structure:

  • Based on experience
  • Eligible to earn $18+ in 6 months as Crew Chief
