We were extremely pleased with Comfort 1st Insulation from start to finish. Everyone we dealt with was extremely... helpful and cordial. We had insulation blown around the exterior of our basement to make it warmer. We also had a mice issue so this has kept the mice out as well. They stuffed steel wool around the exterior of the siding to prevent any more mice from entering. The install was outstanding. They did all the prep work and we didn't even have to move stuff out of the way. They did that for us. After the install they cleaned up better than when they started. I would highly recommend them if you planning on having insulation done.read more

We purchased a cape cod style home this year. After living here for the summer we found that the upstairs was extremely... uncomfortable and would not cool down. As it began getting into fall time the upstairs was 10 to 12 degrees colder than the rest of the house. We suspected the insulation wasn't done very well in the attic. After doing some research we found that cape cod style homes are notorious for this problem and can be very hard to properly insulate. It made us very nervous as our kids rooms are upstairs. Mike from Confirm 1st came out and took a look and explained that there were many problems with the way the attic had been insulated. He assured us that he could fix it for us and our children would be able to be comfortable in their rooms. He sent his crew out and they installed batting and blown in cellulose. They also airsealed all the floor joists and around any vents, light fixture and outlets. After a couple weeks it didn't seem like there was much improvement so we called Mike back. He came out and took a look and realized his crew had made some mistakes. He spent the entire day personally fixing it. I was nervous that because they had to spend much more time than they quoted that our bill would be larger. In fact he gave us a discount. It is like night and day the difference it has made in our home. I am thrilled with the work and the improvement. Mike and comfort 1st stood by their work and made it right. I would recommend them to anyone looking for insulation improvements. THANKS COMFORT 1ST!!!read more

We were having significant issues with freezing pipes in our master bathroom. We had several estimates from local... companies. (One wanted us to tear down several portions of drywall to insulate ... we were intimidated because we would be responsible for cutting into our garage ceiling). I called Comfort 1st Insulation (in 2019) and we were impressed by Mikes thorough assessment. Instead of giving us a quick “bandaid” solution - he addressed the house as a whole - giving us several options to suit our needs/ budget/ comfort. He also found a fire hazard in our attic. Mike is a perfectionist and is extremely thorough! We did not have to tear down our garage ceiling, as he explored our attic spaces thoroughly! We have had NO issues- with pipes freezing, despite negative temperatures this winter. Our bathroom floor stays warm- and overall our house holds heat/AC better! Be prepared to be flexible and patient with scheduling. I overheard him training his crew- he is patient, kind, and is very thorough in teaching others how and WHY things are done certain ways. He wants things done correctly - and is willing to review and go over several times until the work is done to top quality. His crew was always kind and clean- they tarp off the areas they are working. Such a great experience! Mike’s attention to detail and experience is top notch.read more
